The Passenger

Flamingo Land and other stories

The Passenger was runner-up in the London Short Story Prize 2014. It was published by Flight Press in Flamingo Land and Other Stories edited by Ellah Wakatama Allfrey.

Quite simply brave, original and strange. This writer revels in language and imagery. We loved the inventiveness of this. The language entranced us, fresh and dynamic and original.

Mr Forrester Has Wings

You can read Mr Forrester Has Wings, my runner-up story in the Puffin Review Fairy Tale competition, judged by Kirsty Logan.

What a dreamy, gorgeous tale! Right from the first sentence, we know we’re in the hands of a true prose stylist. I really wish I had written the description of Gloria, ‘flighty in wedges’ with her mournful insides. This story is a treat.’

Colour Up

Colour Up, one of my earliest short stories was long-listed in the 2013 Bristol Short Story competition. You can read it here on my blog.
